The Confederate Flag is not the issue in Black America. The issues facing Blacks in America is the systematic, institutional racism which is woven into the fabric of American society. Blacks in the northern states, fare no better than Blacks in the south. Blacks that reside in states where the Confederate Flag is not flown, face the same issues of unemployment, miseducation, homelessness and poverty. Removing the Confederate Flag is symbol, not substance. The conditions facing Blacks in America remain unchanged.
